a pioneer in applying Collaborative intelligence

Background

During the Cuban Missile Crisis, Mike Kelly's father, while hurriedly packing said, “My squadron’s been activated. My jet can carry a Mark 28 nuclear weapon, take care of your mother and sisters.” Mike was 12; coming of age in America. He suspects that the shock of that responsibility was the catalyst for his life’s work.

After completing a Ph.D. in Experimental and Clinical Psychology, he worked as a clinician for a decade in Manhattan. However, his interest in systems, decision-making, collective intelligence, and social transformation drew him into consulting where he facilitated substantive social and commercial contributions by combining social dynamics with information technology to develop visionary innovations in high-speed, collective decision-making.

Aware that any advantage in observation, orientation, decision-making or action creates a tempo in execution that promotes strategic control, he experimented with methods and software to enable real-time strategic transformation, the integration of strategic awareness with creative implementation and tactical precision.

His clients have included senior management of Fortune 50-1000 corporations, tech start-ups, the Offices of the Secretaries of Energy and Defense, and non-profit and civic organizations. He is a founder and patent-holder in Clean Fiber, Inc., a green start-up that won the Red Herring Top 100 Tech Companies Award in 2019 and the Inc 5000 (2024) fastest-growing manufacturing start-up. He is also a founder of the Southwest Pennsylvania Environmental Health Project, funded by the Heinz Endowments, to research and mitigate the health impacts of fracking. In 2018, he submitted a patent application for Ontology and Method for Creating a Trustworthy, Super-rational, Theory-of-Mind-capable Artificial General Intelligence.
